Mortier Fortress - Ableon, Bourtois
Nestled on the edge of the Norecade is Mortier Fortress, a fortress that has stood the test of time, a fortress that has seen its people succeed and fail. The well-defended fortress is elegantly designed with beautiful decorations and courtyards, watching over the ancient yet powerful city of Ableon.

The courtyards are filled with nice gardens and stone-paved roads. Several important military buildings are situated to the side of the fortress.

The first floor of the fortress is the home of the throne room, and this is the area where the court meets. As soon as you enter the building, you walk into a small room decorated with plants, statues, ornaments and paintings, and a red carpet forms a cross. To the left is the kitchen, and to the right are the living quarters of the King's servants. To the front is a large empty doorway that leads to the throne room. Both regular and stained glass windows light the room as carved wooden seats with cushions cover the sides. The red carpet leads to the end of the gracefully designed room, and this is where the Throne of Bourtois is located.

The man who sits on this throne rules Bourtois and all people within it. His  power is great, but his burdens even greater.

Perhaps King Marcon III, the man currently seated on the throne, will be able to bring peace and prosperity to not just Bourtois, but the whole of Ardis as well...
